Rajarshi Janak University lists five specialization areas:
Marketing courses include Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Sales Promotion, Service Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Applied Marketing Research.
Finance includes Investment Analysis, Corporate Financing Decisions, Financial Institutions and Markets, Financial Derivatives, Capital Markets and Behavioral Finance, and International Financial Management.

Fourth-semester options include Commercial Bank Management, Insurance and Risk Management, Real Estate Management, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
These electives allow students to add study outside their principal specialization.
The MBA includes an Attachment (Internship) in the third semester carrying three credit hours.
Students work in a business organization for eight to ten weeks and prepare an Attachment Project Report. Internship evaluation is divided among three components:
The report is assessed by an internal examiner appointed by the college and an external examiner appointed by the Dean.
Academic assessment is divided equally between internal and external evaluation.
Internal assessment carries 50 percent of the final grade and covers attendance, presentations, group discussion or class participation, class tests, and term papers. The semester-end examination conducted through the Office of the Dean carries the remaining 50 percent.
Students must pass the internal and external components separately. Those who do not satisfy the internal requirements receive Not Qualified status and cannot sit for the semester-end examination in that course.
Students are required to attend at least 75 percent of prescribed academic activities to qualify for semester examinations.
For the MBA degree, students must complete all required courses and projects and obtain an aggregate CGPA of 3.00. All program requirements must be completed within six years from initial registration.
MBA students study within the management-focused campus of Global Business College at College Road, Birgunj. Campus facilities include classrooms, seminar halls, an IT lab with internet access, library resources, and audio-video facilities.
The college also conducts presentations, group discussions, seminars, training sessions, and interaction activities. Personal and career counseling are included among its student support services.
These campus arrangements complement an MBA curriculum that already requires discussion, presentation, project work, research, practical assignments, seminars, and internship.
