Art Exhibition Hosted by Hotel Marriott and Prisma Stationery

Art Exhibition Features Works of More Than Forty Artists

An exhibition of artworks by more than forty artists has been organized by Hotel Marriott in collaboration with Prisma Stationery.

Held at the Koshi Hall of Hotel Marriott, the exhibition presented works that appeared to explore themes ranging from inner introspection and self-discovery to agriculture, culture, and the evolving identity of Nepal.

During the event, artist Kiran Manandhar remarked in a playful tone that art is rooted in personal interpretation and emotion. He said, “When I get colors, I become restless. I do not understand my own art.”

A conceptual artwork by Kyohei Doidoi added vibrancy to the exhibition. Titled “Under the Same Sky,” the exhibition also included an interactive dialogue between artists and visitors. This interaction shifted the experience from merely “viewing art” to “feeling art.”

Several canvases depicted fragmented plots of land, reflecting the shrinking of arable soil. Some works echoed the voice of the earth, while others clarified elements of mythological narratives. These creations were not only artistic expressions but also witnesses of their time. Stories of everyday people, cultural transformation, and emerging forms of Nepali identity were visible across the artworks.

The three-day exhibition featured participation from senior folk artist Kiran Manandhar, Samudra Man Singh Shrestha, Mukesh Shrestha, Sagar Manandhar, Anil Shahi, Saurganga Darshandhari, Krishna Lama, Anmari Tamang, Bhuvan Thapa, Vidyaman Tamang, Diram Palpali, Sujan Dangol, Navendra Limbu, Pooja Rijal, Samjhana Rajbhandari, Krishnagopal Shrestha, Saugaat Shrestha, Sundar Lama, Sushank Shrestha, Sumitra Baral, and others.
