Audit Training Held for MWU University Units in Birendranagar

Deputy Auditor General Ghanshyam Parajuli of Nepal’s constitutional body, MahaleKha Parikshakko Karyalaya, provided special training related to auditing on 2082 Magh 29 at the central office located in Birendranagar, Surkhet, targeting the heads of various bodies under the University.

Deputy Auditor General Parajuli provided important training related to the accounting system to the heads of various available bodies under the University, including the administrative head and the accounts head. The participants received training on the methods adopted in the audit process, measures to ensure transparency, report preparation, risk management, and important aspects of institutional financial accountability, and they also engaged in interaction.

Registrar Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel, deans of the Graduate School under the University, executive directors, departmental heads, and others were present in the program.

Deputy Auditor General Parajuli pointed out the need to develop auditing as a mandatory mechanism to establish strong financial discipline in educational institutions, a culture of submitting reports on time, and a responsible administrative system, while Registrar Kandel expressed commitment to implement as per the suggestions.

The participants of the program have expressed commitment to apply the knowledge and skills obtained from the workshop in daily work performance and to support the enhancement of institutional transparency and good governance.
