International Conference Begins at Purbanchal University
Viratnagar. An international conference has started at the Purbanchal University campus in Gothgaun, Morang from 2082 Magh 29. The two-day conference (Magh 29–Falgun 1) is being organized by Purbanchal University. The conference, titled “Envisioning the Himalayan Future: The Path of Sustainability and Development,” includes 194 research-based papers.

Inaugurating the conference, University Grants Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Devaraj Adhikari highlighted the importance of international conferences. He stated that such conferences hold significant value in development, management, international relations, and relationships among universities.
In the first session, SINAS Executive Director Prof. Dr. Mrigendra Bahadur Karki and Norwegian professor Sten W. Wallace were keynote speakers. In the second session, the keynote speakers were Professor Dr. Kitaiang Angsuli of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand; Professor Rafal Lijut of the State University of Internal Affairs, Poland; and Professor Lucis Botez of North West University, South Africa.
In the third session, the keynote speakers were Kathmandu University’s Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha; BML University, India’s Professor Anirudh Agrawal; and Upendra Prasad Paudyal of the Asia Pacific Global Alliance for Banking on Values, Netherlands.
Purbanchal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Bijukumar Thapaliya welcomed participants and guests, sharing information on the objective and importance of the international conference. Registrar Professor Dr. Kalyani Mishra expressed thanks to the guests and participants.
