Notice on Trainee Selection for Skill Development Training

Bagmati Province Government, Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration; Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection; Office of Industry and Commerce, Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok.

The Office of Industry and Commerce, Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok will conduct the following trainings under the Industry Development and Market Monitoring Program for FY 2082/083. Nepali citizens interested in receiving training are requested to submit applications in the prescribed format to this office within 21 (twenty-one) days from the date of this notice.

Training Programs (Title, Subject, and Area)

1. Identification and operation of skill development trainings as per district needs (demand-based)

2. Damphu, door, and stool making training, Timal Rural Municipality

3. Carpet weaving training, Timal-04

4. Thangka painting training, Chaurideurali

5. Sewing and cutting skills development training, Roshi-09, Mandandeupur-09, and Bethanchok-05

6. Beauty parlour training, Banepa and Bethanchok-05

7. Coffee processing training, Kavre

8. Entrepreneurship training in coordination with single women’s groups, Banepa

9. Pickle making training, Bethanchok

10. Handicraft training for youth and students, Panchkhal

11. Handicraft skills development training, Roshi Rural Municipality

12. Thangka painting training, Khanikhola Rural Municipality

13. Soap making training, Banepa

14. Women entrepreneurship training, Mandandeupur

15. Women entrepreneurship and skills development training in three locations, Timal-04

Priority Target Groups

1. Economically poor, marginalized, disadvantaged, endangered, and minority communities.

2. Citizens interested in entrepreneurship.

3. Micro, cottage, and small entrepreneurs seeking effective enterprise operation.

4. Individuals wishing to modernize traditional skills to be technology-friendly and to enhance professional competence.

5. Youths returned from foreign employment.

Selection and Operation

Training Duration: Short, medium, and long-term trainings will be conducted within the approved budget framework.

Number of Trainees Selected: Selection will follow the Training Operation Procedures, 2081.

Selection Method: Individual interview.

Training Date, Duration, and Location: To be determined later within the budget framework, based on trainer availability and collective demand of trainees.

Trainee Eligibility

1. Must be a Nepali citizen residing within Bagmati Province.

2. Must have completed 16 years of age.

3. Educational Qualification: As specified in the Procedures according to the nature of the training.

Documents to Submit

1. Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.

2. Post-training business plan (brief, up to 2 pages).

Facilities for Selected Trainees

On the basis of daily attendance, snack expenses of Rs. 100 per person per day will be provided (only after at least 90% attendance and successful completion of the training). A lump sum transport expense of Rs. 500 will also be provided.

1. All training activities will be conducted in accordance with the Bagmati Province Government’s Training Operation Procedures, 2081.
