Launch of ‘An Analysis of the Novel Comrade Jaljala’

A book titled ‘An Analysis of the Novel Comrade Jaljala’ by writer Manoj Bhatt, General Secretary of Rastriya Janamorcha, has been launched. At a program held in Kathmandu on Saturday, CPN (Masal) General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh, former minister Dinanath Sharma, and CPN (UML) Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali publicly presented the review of the book.

CPN Deputy General Secretary Gyawali said that the 1,320-page long novel by writer Singh would be difficult for readers to finish at a time when reading culture is declining. He added that Manoj Bhatt has written in a simplified and critical manner, making it easier to understand ‘Jaljala’.

Intellectual Bhishma Joshi said that Singh’s novel is vast in terms of knowledge and philosophy and that a PhD could be done on each chapter. He noted that the attempt by writer Bhatt to write a critique on the massive work of Singh, a senior personality who has been involved in literature as well as politics for 77 years, is commendable.

Assistant Campus Chief of Bishwo Bhasa Campus Balbhadra Bharati said that the novel represents the entire communist movement, and that the analytical book has succeeded in performing its surgery.
