Daibagyaraj Nyaupane Smriti Pratisthan has presented honors and awards to various literary creators and a social institution.

On the occasion of poet Daibagyaraj Nyaupane’s 84th birth anniversary and 14th memorial day, the pratisthan organized a program in the capital on Monday.

At the event, Nepali Shiksha Parishad Chairperson Rama Sharma presented the Daibagya Vishishta Srashta Samman, Daibagya Sahitya Puraskar, Daibagya Bal Sahitya Puraskar, and Daibagya Samaj Sewa Puraskar to three creators and one social institution.

Awards and Recipients

The program was held under the chairmanship of Pratisthan Chairperson Dr. Kedar Nyaupane.

Daibagya Vishishta Srashta Samman:

Remarks at the Program

On the occasion, Pratisthan member Koshraj Nyaupane spoke about the honored and awarded personalities.

Nepali Shiksha Parishad Chairperson Rama Sharma said the honors and awards presented in memory of literary figure Daibagyaraj Nyaupane have contributed to keeping his works continually fresh and memorable.

Children’s literature writer Kalpana Pradhan expressed gratitude, saying she felt very happy to receive the Daibagya Bal Sahitya Puraskar after serving literature for nearly six decades and sharing sweet literary knowledge with children.

Kalpana Pradhan’s Reflections

Pradhan recalled her teacher Vasudev Nyaupane and said that even at a time when women were not encouraged to study, she struggled significantly to continue her education and serve literature, and that children’s literary nourishment had been getting published throughout her journey.

She said her meeting with writer Parshu Pradhan inspired her to turn her interest in enjoying Nepali children’s literature into an opportunity.

Pradhan’s first children’s poem was the well-known poem “Mero Sano Kharayo, Aaja Kata Harayo.”

Donation to the Pratisthan

Pratisthan advisor Dr. Shivkumar Rai handed over Rs 50,000 to Pratisthan Chairperson Dr. Kedar Nyaupane in memory of his late spouse.
