Foreign Employment Board Calls for Applications for Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) Training of Trainers (TOT)

The Secretariat of the Foreign Employment Board, under the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment, has invited applications from individuals interested in participating in the Training of Trainers (TOT) for Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT). The Board Secretariat published the notice with the objective of improving the effectiveness of training during the current fiscal year 2083/084.

According to the notice, applicants must complete the application form online through the provided link or QR code within 21 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Type and Duration of Training

  • Refresher TOT (2 days): For trainers currently involved in training.

  • PDOT Training of Trainers (TOT) (5 days): For new interested individuals who meet the prescribed qualifications and wish to become involved in the training.

Application Fee and Bank Details

  • Application Fee: Rs. 500 (five hundred rupees).

  • Fee Exemption: No application fee will be charged to women and sexual minority applicants.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a Nepali citizen who has completed 25 years of age and has not exceeded 55 years.

  • For persons currently in or returned from foreign employment: Must have passed Grade 12 and have at least 3 years of foreign employment experience, or must have completed a bachelor’s degree and have at least 2 years of foreign employment experience.

  • For persons who have not been in foreign employment: Must have completed a bachelor’s degree and have at least 5 years of work experience in the field of foreign employment.

Grounds for Priority in Selection

The notice states that priority may be given to the following individuals while selecting participants:

  • Workers who have gone for and returned from foreign employment

  • Women and sexual minorities

  • Persons with knowledge or skills related to information technology

  • Persons who have published articles or writings in the fields of foreign employment and labour

  • Persons with qualifications and experience beyond the prescribed minimum requirements

Application Process and Other Conditions

  • Applicants must submit qualification documents and other details only through the link provided in the notice, https://forms.gle/f1iWkGA6ZNYqNFWe7, or through the QR code.

  • The applications received will be reviewed, and a list of eligible participants will be prepared and published based on appropriate criteria.

  • Only after the list of eligible applicants is published will the date, time, and venue of the training be determined and announced through another notice.

  • The Secretariat of the Foreign Employment Board will arrange meals and snacks for participants as required.

  • If the committee has any doubt regarding information provided in the form, it may request original documents. If any dispute arises, the decision of the Training Operation and Management Committee will be final.
