AI Conclave 2026 Begins at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel
Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel, has begun hosting “AI Conclave–2026” (Artificial Intelligence Conference) from today. The conference is being organized by the Artificial Intelligence Club (KUAIC) under KU’s Department of Artificial Intelligence.
Organizers stated that this program is the second phase under “AI Convergence–2026,” which has been run through the club.
Background of the Program
According to the organizers, the “AI Conclave” has been launched by refining the “AI-Meet” program conducted over the past two years.
The club’s president, Ashim Shrestha, said the objective is to bring learning and innovation in the AI field onto a single platform.
Objectives and Focus Areas
The organizers said the conference aims to raise awareness about the practical use of AI in education, health, finance, governance, industry, and society, rather than limiting AI to “research” or “generative tools.”
The conference is being held with the theme “Bridging Intelligence and Innovation,” with the stated aim of connecting students, researchers, industry, startups, policymakers, and the general public on a single platform.
AI Convergence 2026: Three Phases
The organizers stated that “AI Convergence 2026” will be conducted in three phases.

First phase: “AI Canvas”

Includes foundational learning programs such as AI foundation sessions, bootcamps, and webinars

Second phase: “AI Conclave”

To be held on January 12, 13, and 14, 2026, at KU Central Office

Organizers estimate that around five thousand observers will participate in the three-day “AI Conclave.”
