Madhesh Institute of Health Sciences Holds First Convocation, 43 Students Graduate
Gaushala, Mahottari, 2 Shrawan 2083 — The Madhesh Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) has held its first convocation ceremony. A total of 43 students who completed various academic programmes formally graduated at the ceremony.
Addressing the convocation, the institute’s Chancellor and Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Krishna Prasad Yadav, said that producing skilled doctors, nurses, and health workers is essential for expanding quality healthcare services.
Stating that the provincial government has given high priority to health education, he clarified that the government is working to further strengthen the province’s healthcare system by producing skilled human resources.
Chief Minister Yadav said that the institute’s success in organising its first convocation despite limited resources and various challenges was a matter of pride for the provincial government.
He expressed the provincial government’s commitment to providing all necessary support to develop the institute into a well-equipped institution offering quality education. He also stated that new plans and programmes would be introduced in the coming days to develop the institute into a centre of excellence for teaching, research, and innovation.
At the programme, the institute’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ankur Sah, said the institute was moving forward with the objective of providing the nation with skilled health professionals through teaching, research, and healthcare services.
Describing the successful organisation of the first convocation despite various challenges as a historic achievement for the institution, he urged the graduates to fulfil their professional responsibilities with dedication to society, the nation, and the service of humanity.
