Model Institute of Technology (MIT), Bagbazar, Kathmandu, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Google Developer Group (GDG) Kathmandu, formalizing a collaboration aimed at supporting students and young developers through practical learning opportunities.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will jointly organize tech workshops, community meetups, coding sessions, expert talks, and hands-on training. Activities will focus on Google technologies and contemporary development practices, with an emphasis on building projects and engaging with mentors from the wider developer community.
The partnership is expected to provide students with greater exposure to industry-aligned skills and a platform to connect with experienced practitioners. It also reflects a broader effort to strengthen Nepal’s developer ecosystem by encouraging peer learning, innovation, and community-led technical events.
Both MIT and GDG Kathmandu anticipate that the collaborative programs will create more structured opportunities for learners to explore emerging tools, develop real-world solutions, and participate in an active local tech community.
