NATHM Invites Applications for Various Training Programs
Kathmandu. The Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM), Rabibhawan, Kalimati, under the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has invited applications for training in various subjects.
The Academy published a notice on Shrawan 19, 2083, inviting interested and eligible Nepali citizens to apply for the training programs scheduled to begin from Bhadra.
According to the notice published by the Academy, the details of the training programs, minimum qualifications, fees and dates are as follows:
1. Trekking Guide
Minimum qualification: Applicants must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification; or passed SEE or an equivalent examination and have two years of work experience at a registered trekking agency. Applicants who have completed Trekking Porter Guide training must have four years of work experience at a registered trekking agency after obtaining their licence.
Number of participants: 500
Duration: Five weeks
Training fee: Rs. 10,000

2. Trekking Porter Guide
Minimum qualification: Applicants must have basic skills in understanding and communicating in any one international language, have two years of work experience as a porter in the trekking sector, and have appeared in the SEE or an equivalent examination.

Duration: 15 days
Training fee: Rs. 3,500

3. Basic Food Preparation (Cook)
Minimum qualification: Applicants must have passed SEE or an equivalent examination.

4. Bakery

5. Barista
Minimum qualification: Applicants must have passed SEE or an equivalent examination.

6. One-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts

Application Information and Conditions
Minimum number of applicants: The Barista training will be conducted only if there are at least 10 applicants. The Bakery and Basic Food Preparation training programs will each be conducted only if there are at least 20 applicants. The One-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts will be conducted only if there are at least 22 applicants.
Required documents: Applicants must submit two recently taken passport-size photographs and copies of their citizenship certificate, educational qualification certificates and experience certificates with the application form.
Application form fee: The application form fee for each training program is Rs. 1,000 (one thousand rupees). Applicants must attach the deposit voucher for the amount paid at the Extension Counter of Citizens Bank International Limited located within the Academy’s premises.
