NATHM Liaison Officer Training Application Notice

Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM), Ravi Bhawan, Kalimati, Kathmandu, has issued a notice regarding the application call for Liaison Officer training.

As per the approved annual program of NATHM for the fiscal year 2082/83, the Liaison Officer training for deployment with mountaineering teams will be conducted jointly by NATHM and Nepal Mountaineering Training Academy. The training will be held from 22 Bhadra 2082 to 28 Bhadra 2082 at NATHM, starting daily from 7:00 AM.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria as per Rule 8, Sub-rule (1) of the Mountaineering Rules, 2059:

Clause (a): Gazetted First Class (or higher) officers of the Nepal Civil Service.
Clause (b): Nepal Army, Nepal Police, or Armed Police Force officers equivalent to Gazetted Third Class officers of the Civil Service.
Clause (c): Nepali climbers who have successfully summited Mount Everest.

Application Process

Interested and eligible candidates must submit the application form with the following documents:

Certified copies of required qualification certificates.
Departmental recommendation letter.
Training fee voucher of NPR 5,100 (Five Thousand One Hundred only), deposited in the name of NATHM at Citizen Bank International Ltd., Current Account No. 01101000000036201 (any branch of Citizen Bank or the Extension Counter inside NATHM premises).

The application must be submitted to NATHM by 19 Bhadra 2082. The application form can be downloaded from the official website www.nathm.gov.np or obtained directly from NATHM.

Required Documents (To be Submitted with Application)

Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
Two passport-size photographs.
Copy of academic qualification certificate of Bachelor’s level or equivalent (including mark sheet and character certificate).
Recommendation letter from the concerned ministry/department or employing agency.
For climbers of Mount Everest: copy of certificate issued by the Department of Tourism and copy of SLC/SEE passed certificate.
For Civil Service employees adjusted to provincial and local levels: copy of adjustment letter.
