International Conference on Transforming Higher Education in Nepal

An international conference on “Transforming Higher Education in Nepal: Pathways to Global Competitiveness” will be held in Pokhara on Chaitra 12, 13 and 14, 2082. The conference will be organized by Janapriya Multiple Campus with special support from the University Grants Commission.
At a press conference held here today to inform about the conference, Campus Chief Krishna Babu Baral said the conference is being organized to hold broad discussions and interactions, considering the need to take higher education beyond traditional teaching methods and make it research-oriented, technology-friendly, and connected to production.
He said the conference will hold in-depth discussions on how Nepal’s higher education can balance local needs and global standards.
Speakers and Papers
Campus Chief Baral said that renowned academics from countries including Nepal, India, China, Thailand, and Bangladesh will deliver scholarly keynote addresses.
He said more than 50 evaluated research papers by national and international researchers will be presented at the conference. These papers will focus on contemporary issues such as quality accreditation, digital transformation, academic governance, autonomy, and sustainable development goals.
Expected Outcomes
Campus Chief Baral said the conference will present a concrete roadmap to address gaps in Nepal’s higher education system and to enhance academic excellence and global competitiveness.
Campus Management Committee Chair Rajendra Pahari, Assistant Campus Chief Navin Khanal, President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (Gandaki Province) Ramesh Paudel, Professor Dipendra Pahari, among others, expressed confidence that the conference will be productive in expanding teaching and learning beyond the classroom and into a broader research domain.
