Overview

The Ichchakamana rural municipality (ईच्छाकामना गाउँपालिका, चितवन) is named after Ichchakamana Mai, who is known as one of the seven sisters of Manakamana Mai. There is a belief that if you visit Ichchakamana Mai, you will get what you asked for. Ichchakamana Mai's temple is located at an altitude of about 1800 meters above sea level.

From this temple, green dense forest, mountains, plains of the Terai, Laligurans blooming in the month of Falgun Chait, mountain range Manaslu, Ganesh, Machhapuchhre Himal can be clearly seen. The yellow oranges that ripen all over the place in winter make the heart happy. Every year a grand fair is held here on the big Panchami in which thousands of devotees flock. Currently, the Ichchakamana temple is being rebuilt.

Manakamana Temple:

Manakamana temple is one of the important religious and tourist places of Nepal which is located in the Gorkha district. Manakamana temple is at 1303 meters height from the sea level. It is believed that our wishes are fulfilled after praying at the temple so the temple is named as Manakamana temple. Our wishes are fulfilled by praying at the temple due to this thousand to thousands of pilgrimages visit the temple each year, every day, and during different religious occasions.

Siraichuli:

Siraichuli is renowned as the tallest peak of Chitwan district. Siraichuli is located at 1945 meters height from the sea level. Siraichuli is situated in the Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality ward no.2. From Siraichuli which is situated in the Mahabharat Parbhat range, one can view Sunrise, Gurung villages, Chepang villages, beautiful hilly landscapes, Himalayan Mountain ranges, Rhododendron covering the hills and Historical Siddhababa temple.

Uperdangadi:

Uperdangadi was Chitwan district's old headquarter. Uperdangadi a historical place located in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, ward no.7 in Mahabharat Parbhat range is at 1275 meters height from the sea level. This historical place was built by the Sen king for military accommodation during the medieval period. Later on Prithvi Narayan Shah's grandson, Bahadur Shah's son, Satrubhanjan Shah reconstructed Uperdangadi. Uperdangadi covers 639 square meters area and there are the royal palace, historical court, remainings of police and military accommodation, Cannon at the four walls, Lord Shiva and Kalika temple at the south, Lord Ganesh idol at the north and Bajrayogini and Balkumari temple inside Gadi. Uperdangadi is constructed from stones and limestones. We can view the Chitwan national park, Narayani river, and Rapti river from Uperdangadi. We can even see tourist birds in this region.

Jalbire Lamo Jharana:

Jalbire Lamo waterfall is one of the most beautiful and adorable tourist destinations of Chitwan district. Jalbire Lamo waterfall is 102 meters free falling spring water. Jalbire Lamo waterfall is located in the Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality ward no.6 which is 7 kilometers west from Muglin market. After trekking for a kilometer's distance from Jalbire temple we can reach Jalbire Lamo waterfall. During March and April, thousands of tourists come to Jalbire Lamo Jharana to get relief from summer. We can do canyoning, water bath at the pond, and see the amazing view of Jalbire Lamo waterfall. There are facilities of the restroom, dress changing rooms, and infrastructures like minipark, ladders at Jalbire Lamo waterfall. There is a village called Yakrang Gurung village which is 5 kilometers above from Jalbire Lamo Jharana. There are homestay facilities in Yakrang Gurung village, we can see Gurung culture, traditions, customs, enjoying local food, and view greenery of the hills.
