Overview
Thakre Rural Municipality (Nepali: थाक्रे गाउपालिका) was established following the Government of Nepal's decision on 2073-11-9 B.S. It was officially announced in the gazette on 2073-11-27 B.S. during local-level restructuring.
Thakre Gaupalika was formed by merging the former VDCs of Kebalpur, Thakre, Tasarphu, Bhumesthan, and Goganpani wards 5, 6, 7, and 8.
Currently, the Rural Municipality is divided into 11 wards.
