ANFSU (Revolutionary) Submits Memo on TU Fee Issue
The All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) has drawn the attention of the Minister for Education, Science and Technology to delays in implementing decisions related to the fee structure of central departments under Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A team of student leaders, led by ANFSU (Revolutionary) Central Deputy General Secretary and Kathmandu Valley Special Province Committee In-Charge Niroj Shrestha, reached the ministry at Singha Durbar on Friday. \
They submitted a formal memorandum, along with documents including past agreements, to Education Minister and Co-Chancellor Mahabir Pun.
Key Concerns Raised in the Memorandum
The memorandum states that although four departments under TU’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences were upgraded to central departments as per a decision of the TU Assembly, arbitrary fees have continued to be charged.
It further states that even though there was an agreement to end arbitrary fees and reduce charges, the decision has not been implemented despite the second semester already having begun. It also alleges that the university administration has not taken the issue seriously, even after repeated protests and talks.

ANFSU (Revolutionary) recalled that it had previously launched protests demanding:

It said it is objectionable that even the agreements reached after the protest have not been implemented.
Warning of Stronger Protest
The organization stated that due to the indifference of the university administration, students were compelled to resort to protests. It warned that if the demands are still not addressed, it will be forced to enter a stronger struggle.
Demand for Immediate Intervention
ANFSU (Revolutionary) demanded that, through the Education Minister, immediate intervention be made with the Vice-Chancellor to implement agreements, adjust fees, and promptly enforce decisions in the interest of students.

Lockdown at University Offices
Stating that the agreement reached on Bhadau 11 by the ANFSU (Revolutionary) Tribhuvan University District Committee has not been implemented, the organization said there has been a lock on the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Rector since 2082 Poush 18.
