
Badri Bikram National Honor and Service Award 2082 Conferred
Cultural expert and literary figure Tejeshwarbabu Gwang has been honored with the 'Badri Bikram Rashtragaurav Puraskar–2082', while artist Urmila Upadhyay Garg received the 'Sewa Puraskar Nepal–2082'.
Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala presented these awards during a program organized in the capital on Sunday by the Karmyogi Badri Bikram Thapa Memorial Service Trust.
The prize amount for both annual awards is NPR 222,222 each.
Dr. Koirala Shares Personal Memories
Recalling his personal connection, Dr. Koirala mentioned that the late Badri Bikram Thapa had signed his citizenship certificate. Although the Koirala family stood firmly against the Panchayat system, he noted that their relationship with the then Koshi Zonal Commissioner, Thapa, was akin to that of family.
Recognition of Labor and Dedication
In honor of the 103rd birth anniversary of Karmyogi Thapa, the program also recognized two individuals for their dedication to labor:

Minu Malakar
Each was awarded NPR 25,000 in recognition of their contribution.
