Bagmati Grant Call for Women’s Cooperatives

The Ministry of Social Development, Hetauda, under the Government of Bagmati Province, has invited proposals for the implementation of the program titled “Capacity Development/Incentive/Support to Outstanding Women’s Cooperative Institutions.” This notice has been published to select outstanding women’s cooperative institutions under the approved annual program for the current fiscal year 2082/83.
In accordance with Section 8 of the Outstanding Women’s Cooperative Institution Selection Criteria, 2082, interested women’s cooperative institutions must submit their proposals along with the required documents to the concerned local level within fifteen days from the date of publication of this notice, that is, by 2082.12.12.
Under this program, each selected women’s cooperative institution will be provided a grant amount of Rs. 80,000/- (eighty thousand).
Selection and Recommendation Process
Local Level Selection
The concerned local level must select one outstanding women’s cooperative institution based on the selection criteria set out in Section 5 of the standards, on the basis of the documents attached with the proposal by the women’s cooperative institutions.
Recommendation to Social Development Office
The Ministry has instructed that the institution selected in this manner must be recommended and sent to the concerned Social Development Office having jurisdiction within 15 days from the date of expiry of the proposal submission deadline, that is, by 2082.12.27.
Instructions to Local Levels
The Ministry has requested all 119 local levels of Bagmati Province to carry out the process in accordance with the standards on the basis of this notice.
Conditions and Restrictions
If two or more women’s cooperative institutions are recommended from one local level, or if recommendations are sent after the notice period has expired, such applications will not be included in the evaluation.
Likewise, women’s cooperative institutions that have already received grant or support from the Ministry in the previous fiscal year will not be included in this program.
Required Documents
Women’s cooperative institutions must compulsorily submit the following 13 documents along with the application:

Copy of the cooperative institution registration and renewal certificate

Copy of the institution’s statute

Copy of the Permanent Account Number or Value Added Tax registration certificate

Copy of tax filing proof or tax clearance certificate
-
Copy of the audit report of the previous fiscal year
-
Copy of the minutes of the general assembly meetings of the last two years

Details of the workforce employed in the institution
-
Details of whether the institution’s election has been held or not, and records thereof if held
-
Details of the current status of the institution’s capital
-
Details of the institution’s physical status (whether it has its own building / has a building under construction / has land only / does not have any)
-
Records of attendance and decisions of committee meetings
-
Details of business group development under the committee (whether more than one business group has been formed / only one business group has been formed / no business group has been formed)
-
Self-declaration of the women’s cooperative institution stating that it has not previously received support or grant from the Ministry
Grant and Deadline Details
Grant Amount
Each selected women’s cooperative institution will receive a grant of Rs. 80,000/-.
Submission Deadline
Proposals must be submitted to the concerned local level by 2082.12.12.
Recommendation Deadline
The deadline for sending recommendations to the Social Development Office is 2082.12.27.
