CAAN Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License Notice

The Flight Safety Standards Department of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has published a notice regarding the issuance of the personal Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) for aircraft maintenance.
CAAN has clarified that the license will be issued only after meeting the conditions under the NCAR Part-66 Requirements.
Recognition of Module Examinations
The notice states that Modular Examinations are being conducted based on an agreement between CAAN and CAAi U.K.
As per CAAN’s decision dated 2082-10-14, each required module examination is conducted by the same institution, and only the Module Exams conducted by CAAi U.K. will be recognized for Aircraft Maintenance License issuance.
Requirements via Approved Part-147 Organization
To obtain a license through a CAAN-approved Part-147 Organization, applicants must have completed a complete course (Complete Training + Complete Modular Exam).
CAAN has stated that the license issuance process will proceed only after receiving the Course Completion Certificate as per Part-147.
As per the decision dated 2082-10-14, CAAN has also informed that incomplete training or recognition of only individual modules will not be accepted by the Authority.
