Class 12 Exams can also be Taken Online:
Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has instructed the National Examination Board (NEB) to prepare for the Class 12 examination from wherever the students are.
Minister Pokharel on Wednesday instructed the board officials at the Singha Durbar-based ministry regarding the examination to be held from Mangsir 9 to16.
Minister Pokharel directed the students to meet the health criteria from wherever they are. According to Binod Neupane, a member of Pokhrel's secretariat, Pokhrel has instructed the concerned school to provide the facility through data to the students in case of an internet problem.
During the discussion, it was decided to make the education development and coordination unit in the district and the local level more effective.
Secretary at the Ministry Gopinath Mainali, Chairman of the Board Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel, Member Secretary Durga Prasad Aryal, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry Deepak Sharma were present at the discussion.
The board had recommended the government of Nepal to take the exam online with various options.
Preparations have been made to conduct the exam for a short period with social distance and get 40 percent marks.
20 percent marks of students will be calculated from internal assessment and 40 percent marks will be calculated from class 11 marks.
The board is preparing to collect the details of the candidates from outside the district and include them in the examination.
In the examination schedule made public by the Board, requesting the candidates who are infected with COVID 19 not to participate in the examination, separate arrangements will be made for such candidates later on the basis of the report of the accredited laboratory of the Government of Nepal.
The exam, which was scheduled to be held on Baishakh 8, was postponed due to the risk of corona epidemic.
