Prof Dr Devendra Khatri Appointed Vice-Chairperson of Medical Education Commission
Prof Dr Devendra Khatri has been appointed Vice-Chairperson of the Medical Education Commission. Prime Minister and Commission Chairperson Balendra Shah appointed him as Vice-Chairperson of the Commission.
Newly appointed Vice-Chairperson Prof Dr Khatri was handed the appointment letter today at the Ministry of Education and Sports by Sasmita Pokharel, Minister for Education and Sports and Co-Chairperson of the Commission.
Earlier, as the post of Vice-Chairperson in the Commission had remained vacant, former Vice-Chairperson of the Commission Shrikrishna Giri had been given the responsibility of Acting Vice-Chairperson until further arrangement.
After the government issued the “Ordinance Made to Make Special Arrangements Regarding the Removal of Public Office Holders from Office,” office holders including Commission Vice-Chairperson Dr Anjani Kumar Jha were removed from office. The post of Vice-Chairperson of the Commission had become vacant after the ordinance was issued and the office holders were removed.
