Dhaulagiri Campus to Implement ‘Order Chain’ Policy
Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus, Baglung, the only constituent campus of Dhaulagiri, has announced that it will implement an “Order Chain” policy to make academic and administrative activities more effective.
Campus Chief Associate Professor Dr. Sudarshan Silwal said the campus is moving forward with a policy that emphasizes quality while evaluating services, facilities, and performance, with the goal of developing the campus into a recognized university through quality education.
Under the “Order Chain,” the campus aims to make all departments, sections, and the administration responsible and accountable. The campus received a QAA (Quality Assurance and Accreditation) certificate last year. After receiving this certificate, the certificates awarded to students graduating from the campus are regarded with appropriate recognition in the international market.
Silwal also stated that after receiving the QAA certificate, the number of students studying at the campus has increased in the current academic session compared to last year.
According to campus administrative records, 356 students were enrolled at the bachelor’s level last year, while 644 students have enrolled in the current academic session. The pass rate is also increasing. While only 33 percent passed at the bachelor’s level, the pass rate at the master’s level is 54 percent, and the overall pass rate across both levels stands at 36 percent.
Assistant Campus Chief Dilliram Gautam said the campus aims not only to produce academically capable students but also to connect students with production and the market. He noted that financial challenges remain. After receiving the QAA certificate, there are challenges in managing the required human resources in line with the core spirit of autonomy, including maintaining and updating the accreditation.
The campus, established in 2019 BS, currently offers teaching up to the master’s level. The campus has been successful in producing excellent results at the national level, particularly in Science and BBA.
While celebrating its 63rd anniversary as a special festival, the campus has organized various activities, including football, cricket, marathon, athletics, meetings among alumni, professors, and staff, debates, academic discussions organized by the Department of Political Science and the Department of History, and an inter-school thematic competition.
