Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS), Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, Schedule-1 (Related to Sub-section (1) of Section 4), Notice on Submitting Applications for National Honor and Award for Entrepreneurs Who Returned from Foreign Employment and Established Enterprises in Nepal.

With the objective of encouraging self-employment by recognizing and awarding entrepreneurs who have returned from foreign employment and are contributing to national production and employment through entrepreneurship in Nepal, eligible Nepali citizens are requested to apply for the award as per the criteria below.

Applicants must fill out the application form (Schedule 2) as per the “Returnee Entrepreneur National Honor and Award Management Procedure, 2076,” seal it in an envelope, and submit it along with the documents mentioned below within 21 (twenty-one) days from the date of publication of this notice (by 2082/10/22).

Applications must be registered at the Information Technology and Statistics Section of this Ministry, or scanned and sent to the Ministry’s email address: info@moless.gov.np

Required Eligibility

• Must have gone abroad on a work visa and returned after working for at least 1 year

• Must have completed at least 1 year of operating a business after returning to Nepal from foreign employment

• Must not have received this type of award from this Ministry within the last 5 years

Documents to be Attached with Schedule Form 2

(For copies, self-attestation is required.)

• Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate

• Copy of labour approval

• Copy of passport with visa

• Copy of business registration certificate

• Copy of tax registration certificate

• Copy of tax clearance certificate for FY 2081/082

• Self-declaration stating that the applicant has not received the award previously

Additional Notes

1. Entrepreneurs who applied for this type of award in previous years but were not selected for the award may also apply.

2. While selecting entrepreneurs for the award, evaluation will be based on employment creation, capital investment, use of local resources and technology, export of products, fulfillment of social responsibility, use of environmentally friendly technology, pollution management, and the geographical area where the enterprise is operated. Therefore, applicants are informed to also attach verified supporting documents that substantiate these criteria.
