Board Invites Participation for National and Special Film Awards
The Film Development Board, Chabahil, Kathmandu, under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of Nepal, has published a notice regarding the National and Special Film Awards for the year 2082 BS.
The Board will provide awards in various film categories and has invited producers of eligible Nepali films to participate.
Eligibility for Participation
National award categories
According to the notice, films that were publicly screened between April 14, 2025 (2082-01-01 BS) and April 14, 2026 (end of 2082 BS) will be eligible to participate in the category-wise awards.
Special film and indigenous mother tongue film categories
For special films and films in indigenous nationalities’ mother tongues, Nepali film producers whose films were censor-approved between April 14, 2025 (2082-01-01 BS) and April 14, 2026 (end of 2082 BS) will be eligible to participate in these awards.
Application Deadline and Process
For participation, the concerned producers must complete the required process within 21 days from the first publication date of this notice, that is, March 23, 2026 (2082-12-09 BS), during office hours.
