Humla Students Sit M.Ed. Examination at Local Centre
Humla, 10 October 2023 — M.Ed. students of Manasarowar Multiple Campus in Humla have been allowed to sit their postgraduate examination within the district after Tribhuvan University approved a local examination centre.
The decision has addressed a long-running problem for students who previously faced uncertainty over where they would have to appear for their Master’s Degree in Education examination. According to Campus Chief Deepak Bhandari, who is also serving as the centre president, the campus had made repeated efforts to secure an examination centre in Humla.
Out of 47 students registered for the postgraduate-level examination under the Faculty of Education, 40 appeared in the examination. The participants included eight students from Health Education and 32 students from EPS, referred to as Education Planning and Management in the campus report. Seven registered students did not attend the examination.
Tribhuvan University has also agreed to cover the examination-related expenses. This arrangement has reduced the immediate financial burden on students who would otherwise need to travel outside the district for examinations.
The local examination centre is important for students in Humla, where geography and travel costs often create barriers to higher education. With the examination successfully conducted in the district, students of Manasarowar Multiple Campus may have a clearer path for future postgraduate examinations if the arrangement continues in upcoming academic sessions.
