Kathmandu University Appoints Deans for Law and Humanities Faculties
Kathmandu University’s Executive Council has appointed new deans for the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Humanities. Dr. Shiva Kumar Giri has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Law, while Dr. Uddhav Pyakurel has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
About Dr. Uddhav Pyakurel
Dr. Uddhav Pyakurel is a renowned scholar and commentator in the field of political sociology. He holds a PhD from the Centre for the Study of Social Systems at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

About Dr. Shiva Kumar Giri
Dr. Shiva Kumar Giri, the newly appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law, is a distinguished professor with significant experience in Nepal’s legal sector.
He served actively for over three decades in the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs of the Government of Nepal. During his tenure, he held various responsibilities from Section Officer to Under Secretary. He made notable contributions to:
