Lumbini PSC Keeps Level 11 Agriculture Promotion Process on Hold After Supreme Court Order
Butwal | Date: 2082/10/06 — The Provincial Public Service Commission (PPSC), Lumbini Province has suspended the promotion process under the Agriculture Service for the Level 11 post of Joint Secretary (Technical) and Director General for the time being. Implementing the short-term interim order issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the Commission has decided to keep the promotion process for the said post in the status quo.
According to Notice No.: 175/082–083 issued by the Commission’s spokesperson Ganesh Ghimire, the Court had issued an order on 2082/09/29 in relation to Writ No.: 082-WO-0742 (Writ of Certiorari). The Commission stated that the order was received by the Commission on 2082/10/04, and on the basis of the same, as per the decision dated 2082/10/06, the entire process has been suspended until further notice, with instructions to “stop the process as it stands in its current condition.”
The Commission further stated that the Court has ordered not to proceed with the advertisements issued as per the promotion notice previously published on 2082/08/26, namely Promotion Notice No.: 4/082–83 (Promotion through Seniority and Performance Evaluation) and Promotion Notice No.: 23/082–83 (Promotion through Competency Evaluation).
