Dr Dinesh Raj Bhujel Appointed MBST Vice-Chairperson
Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBST) has appointed Dr Dinesh Raj Bhujel as its Vice-Chairperson. The university has appointed him to the position of Vice-Chairperson for academics and research.
Active in higher education, research, and science policy for more than three decades, Dr Bhujel is currently an academician at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). He is also serving as a visiting professor at Northwest University in China.
Dr Bhujel earned his PhD in Ecology from Chiba University, Japan. He has held several key responsibilities, including:

According to the university, his research primarily focuses on Chure ecology, the Himalayan treeline, and dendroclimatology.
Dr Bhujel has also led and advised various research and policy projects related to climate change, biodiversity conservation, disaster risk management, and science policy in collaboration with UNESCO, UNDP, ICIMOD, WWF, and the Government of Nepal.
The university stated that after being appointed to the post of Vice-Chancellor, Dr Bhujel will play a leading role in improving academic quality, expanding research, and strengthening national and international collaboration.
