Government Presents National ICT Awards in Seven Categories
The government has presented the National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Awards in seven categories to individuals and organizations contributing to the field of information technology.
The awards were presented during a program organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on Friday, 19th Baishakh, 2082, the Seventh National ICT Day.
National ICT Excellence Award 2025 (Individual)
Prof. Dr. Shashidhar Ram Joshi received the National ICT Excellence Award 2025. He has been teaching in the engineering sector at Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Engineering (IoE) for over four decades and has published research articles related to AI in more than 16 languages.
National ICT Excellence Award 2025 (Female)
Bandana Sharma, from Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, currently works at Nepal Bank. She received the National ICT Excellence Award (Female) for her significant contribution to integrating technology into the bank’s operations.
National ICT Innovation Promotion Award 2025
The National ICT Innovation Promotion Award 2025 was presented to E-Kagaj Patra Pvt. Ltd. in Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur. The company has been digitizing government documents.
National ICT Award 2025 – Public Sector
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology received the National ICT Award 2025—Public Sector for its advanced use of ICT to deliver government services and provide accurate weather updates.
National ICT Award 2025 – Private Sector
Mavorian Development System, based in Baluwatar, received the National ICT Award 2025—Private Sector. The company provides web development and data center services for small and large businesses in Nepal.
National ICT Award 2025 – Provincial Public Sector
Lalitpur Metropolitan City was recognized under the Provincial Public Sector category for successfully digitizing its billing system in a short time.
National ICT Award 2025 – Provincial Private Sector
Ninja Infosys Pvt. Ltd., based in Banke, was honored in the Provincial Private Sector category. The company provides web development and data center services outside the Kathmandu Valley.
National ICT Startup Award 2025
The National ICT Startup Award 2025 was awarded to Tackum Digital Pvt. Ltd., Nakhhipot.
Recognition for Foreign Currency Generation through IT Services
Two companies were recognized for bringing the highest foreign currency into Nepal through ICT service exports:
