Prof. Dr. Regmi Appointed Rector and Prof. Dr. Kattel Registrar of Nepal Sanskrit University
The government has appointed the Rector (Shikshadhyaksha) and Registrar (Kulsachiv) of Nepal Sanskrit University. Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel appointed Prof. Dr. Jagannath Regmi as Rector and Prof. Dr. Nawaraj Kattel as Registrar of the university.
Newly appointed Registrar Prof. Dr. Kattel, while providing information about the appointments, said that they were returning to Dang after receiving their appointment letters. Prof. Dr. Bhim Khatiwada had already been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the university.
All three officials appointed to the university were selected through open competition. The government had formed a three-member selection committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Madhav Sharan Upadhyay to appoint the officials. The committee conducted an open competition and recommended three candidates for each of the three positions.
