NMA Announces Call for Award Nominations 2082
Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has called for applications or recommendations for the following annual awards. Eligible individuals or organizations are requested to submit detailed applications or recommendations to the Central Secretariat within seven days from the date of this notice.
Award Categories

Dr. Harka Gurung Mountain Award: Presented to Nepali individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions or conducted research focused on mountain tourism, trekking, travel literature, or innovation in related fields.

Kumar Khadga Bikram Adventurous Award: Granted to Nepali or foreign individuals or organizations involved in courageous humanitarian assistance and rescue operations in mountain and mountaineering activities.

Dawa Norbu Mountain Tourism Journalism Award: Offered to journalists, writers, broadcasters, or photographers who have promoted Nepal’s mountain tourism through news reporting, article writing, program production, documentary creation, or photo publication.

Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Women Adventurous Mountaineer Award: Conferred to women climbers or mountaineers who have performed outstanding adventurous activities in Nepal’s mountain tourism sector.
Submission Deadline
Information or recommendations regarding any qualified Nepali or foreign individual or institution for the above awards should be submitted in writing to the Secretariat of the Association by 2082 Kartik 7 (24 October 2025, Friday) within office hours.
Eligible Nepali individuals who have achieved the above contributions are requested to apply themselves or submit recommendations to the Secretariat within the mentioned date.
