Padma Prabhat Pratisthan Announces Awards for 2082
Padma Prabhat Pratisthan 2079, established in the name of literary figure and cultural scholar Padmaraj Joshi “Prabhat,” who has been actively contributing to the promotion of language, literature, art, culture, and philosophy of religion for the past four decades, has announced various awards for the year 2082.
According to the decision made at the foundation’s meeting held in Dhangadhi on Magh 3, the Padma Prabhat Academic Award 2082, carrying a cash prize of Rs. 111,111, will be conferred on Prof. Dr. Maheshwar Prasad Joshi, a literary figure, historian, archaeologist, and cultural scholar from Almora, Uttarakhand State, India.

Dr. Joshi has been continuously researching ancient history, culture, and archaeology since 1965 and has published more than 100 research papers on the history, archaeology, and culture of the Central Himalaya region (Garhwal, Kumaon, and Doti).
The foundation stated that the award will be dedicated to him in recognition of his notable research contributions on Stone Age prehistory in the Nepal–India Himalayan region, the origin and development of language, and the topic “24 Years of Gorkha Rule in Uttarakhand.”

Bhuvaneshwari Padma Prabhat Talent Award
The Bhuvaneshwari Padma Prabhat Talent Award will be dedicated to poet and literary figure Hira Bhatt (Baitadi).
