The Public Service Commission of Province No. 1 has conducted the first two examinations after its formation. A total of 48 posts have been conducted for the posts of Engineering Service, Civil Group, Assistant Level 4th Level Assistant Sub Engineer (Post No. 85), and Assistant Level 5th Level Sub Engineer.

Currently, the federal government has implemented the Adjustment Act to match the vacancies of employees. There is a problem in conducting the examination programs in the state as per the existing law but the promotion should be done from the file.

If the state civil service and local level service act is enacted, the commission can work on promotion as well. Until the Federal Civil Service Act is enacted, work can be done in accordance with the Federal Adjustment Act and now it can be advertised accordingly.

"Now, appointments cannot be made on contract without the consent of the commission. Some can be kept for a short period. The demand form should be filled and sent to the commission. It has been requested to send it to all the state bodies. Since there is no fairness in the agreement, the agreement should be discouraged. A lot of written exams are over.

The commission has received 5,648 applications at the fourth level and 4,499 applications at the fifth level. In both levels, the participation of the candidates in the examination held on the 29th and 30th of Shrawan is more than 83 percent.

There were 4,705 candidates in the fourth tier and 3,778 in the fifth tier. The rate of participation of 60 percent of the total applicants in the examinations of the Commission has not been seen until the state structure is reached. It has been found that this rate has increased in the examinations conducted by the provinces.

Article 244, Clause 1 of the Constitution of Nepal provides that there shall be a Provincial Public Service Commission in each province. Accordingly, the Public Service Commission was duly established in Biratnagar, Province No. 1 on January 26, 2008. The Provincial Public Service Commission has been formed with the responsibility of filling the required staff posts at the state and local levels established in line with the objective of federalism. The Commission has formulated a total of five laws including regulation, a directive, a code of conduct, and two working procedures while carrying out its responsibilities as per the Provincial Public Service Commission Act 2076 and other related laws.

The Public Service Commission has stated that a separate examination hall has been arranged for the corona-infected candidates so that they are not deprived.

The commission has stated that the administrative staff has been demanded from the local level but not from the provincial ministry. There are vacancies in the adjusted posts.
