Social Security Fund invites applications for various positions from Deputy Director to Assistant level

The Social Security Fund (SSF), Thapathali, has invited applications to fill vacant posts under various services, groups, and subgroups, in accordance with the consent of the Public Service Commission.

Through a notice published on Friday, the Fund has requested applications to fill positions ranging from Deputy Director (Level 9) to Assistant Computer Operator (Level 4) through internal and open competitive examinations.

According to the notice, interested Nepali citizens who meet the minimum required qualifications can apply through the Fund’s online application system. It has also been stated that candidates applying for posts from Level 4 to Level 5 across all services, groups, subgroups, and the Assistant Computer Operator post (Level 4) under Miscellaneous Service, Computer Engineering Group must use separate online systems.

Posts and Required Numbers

The Fund has invited applications for a total of 17 employees. As per the advertisement, the posts and required numbers are as follows:

• Deputy Director (Administration, General Administration, Level 9): 1 (Female)

• Senior Assistant Director (Administration, Finance, Investment and Risk Analyst, Level 8): 1 (Female)

• Assistant Director (Administration, Finance, Investment, Level 7): 1 (Madhesi)

• Assistant Director (Administration, Finance, Investment, Level 7): 1 (Dalit)

• Assistant Director (Risk Analyst, Level 7): 1 (Female)

• Finance Officer (Administration, Finance, Investment, Level 6): 1 (Madhesi)

• Law Officer (Administration, Law, Level 6): 1 (Open)

• Information Technology Officer (Miscellaneous, Computer Engineering, Level 6): 1 (Indigenous Nationalities)

• Senior Administrative Assistant (Administration, General Administration, Level 5): 1 (Madhesi)

• Accountant (Administration, Accounts, Level 5): 2 (Open)

• Computer Operator (Miscellaneous, Computer Engineering, Level 5): 1 (Internal Competition)

Application Fee and Deadlines

Candidates may apply by 2082/10/29 with regular fees, and by paying double fees up to 2081/11/06. The application fee has been set differently based on the post level:

• Level 9: NPR 1,500 (additional NPR 500 for inclusive groups)

• Level 7 and Level 8: NPR 1,200 (additional NPR 400 for inclusive groups)

• Level 6: NPR 1,000 (additional NPR 300 for inclusive groups)

• Level 5: NPR 600 (additional NPR 200 for inclusive groups)

• Level 4: NPR 400 (additional NPR 150 for inclusive groups)

Required Qualifications

Educational qualifications differ by post. For officer-level posts such as Deputy Director and Assistant Director, a Master’s degree in the relevant subject must be completed.

For lower-level posts, qualifications ranging from S.L.C./S.E.E. to Bachelor’s level are required, as stated in the notice.

In particular, for posts under finance and investment groups, candidates must have completed courses such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Analyst (FRA), or must have completed a Master’s degree in the relevant subject. In addition, work experience in the relevant field has also been made mandatory for some higher-level posts.

Examination and Age Limits

The examination will include written examinations, computer skill tests, practical examinations, group discussion/case study and presentation, and interviews.

The examination center will be in Kathmandu.

Regarding age limits:

• For Level 4 and Level 5 posts: Must have completed 18 years of age and must not have exceeded 35 years

• For Level 6 and Level 7 posts: Must have completed 21 years of age and must not have exceeded 35 years

• For Level 8 and above posts: Must not have exceeded 40 years

• For female candidates and candidates with disabilities: Must not have exceeded 40 years
