Far Western University: Research and Seminar Workshop of the Faculty of Agricultural Science Students Concludes
The final-semester research, practice, and seminar workshop of the fourth batch of bachelor-level students under the Faculty of Agricultural Science of Far Western University has concluded. The two-day workshop, which began on Friday, Asar 19, 2083, featured research presentations by 90 students who had completed bachelor-level studies in agricultural science.
During the inaugural session of the workshop, chaired by School of Agriculture Chief Sanjay Rawat, a journal prepared on “Agriculture and Resource Management” was also released. The session was conducted by Prem Pandey.
Along with the students, various experts also presented working papers at the workshop. NARC scientist Dr. Roshan Babu Ojha presented a paper on “Transformation in Nepal’s Agriculture and the Way Forward,” Prof. Dr. Hari Krishna Pant presented on “Cost, Market, and Profit Situation in Lentil Seed Production in Western Terai of Nepal,” and Madhesh Agriculture University Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamad Ikram Husen presented on “Developing New Improved Varieties Capable of Withstanding Diseases and Pests for Sustainable Food Legume Production.”
At the program, Far Western University Vice Chancellor Prof. Yagya Raj Pathak, former Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Science Dr. Bishnu Bilas Adhikari, Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives of Far WesternProvince Shankar Sah, Tikapur Multiple Campus Chief Dhabindra Rawal, Durgalaxmi Multiple Campus Chief Dr. Narendra Air, Hikmat Raj Upadhyay of Muktinath Agriculture Company, and Tikapur Multiple Campus Free Student Union President Kiran Saud, among others, delivered remarks.
