Surunga Municipality Honours SEE Toppers with Awards

Surunga Municipality Awards SEE Top Performers with Prizes

Surunga Municipality in Saptari has awarded students who achieved excellent results in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The municipality recognized students from community schools who secured an ‘A Plus’ grade, providing them with awards as a form of encouragement.

Kritika Thapa Magar, a student of Janata Secondary School, Shishuwari, was honored with a cash prize of NPR 100,000 for achieving the highest GPA of 4.0 in Surunga.

Other Awarded Students

Alongside her, several other students were recognized for their outstanding performance:

  • Pratima Magar (Janata Secondary School, Shishuwari): GPA 3.83

  • Apen Karki (Janata Secondary School, Shishuwari): GPA 3.82

  • Udit Narayan Mahato (Janata Secondary School, Shishuwari): GPA 3.72

  • Chiranjeevi Chaudhary (Janata Secondary School, Kushaha): GPA 3.79

  • Mithilesh Kumar Yadav (Secondary School, Tikuliya): GPA 3.70

  • Kripa Raut (Secondary School, Bhediya): GPA 3.70

Each of these students received a cash prize of NPR 15,000 as a token of appreciation and motivation. This was confirmed by the municipality’s mayor, Geeta Chaudhary.

Purpose and Recognition Program

To promote students in public schools, the municipality organized a special event on Wednesday. Under its Child Protection and Educational Program, the SEE 2081 toppers were honored with awards. Additionally, parents of these students were also recognized during the ceremony.

Participation and Pass Rate

According to the municipality, a total of 578 students from Surunga Municipality appeared in the SEE. Out of them, 252 students passed under the grading system, resulting in a pass rate of 45.21 percent.
