Tribhuvan University Office of the Registrar Publishes Urgent Notice: Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Office of the Registrar, Information and Public Relations Division

In order to control the potential risk of the worldwide spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) infection has been increasing rapidly in the last few days; As it is necessary to take special precautions, all concerned under the University is informed as per the decision of the Executive Council to do the following.

1) All departments / affiliated campuses under Tribhuvan University will give winter / rainy leave to the teachers/staff/students.

2) To conduct the classes of the programs which are compulsory to be read in the near future through the electronic medium (Online) even on the days of leave. Maintain email IDs of all teachers/staff/students.

3) To conduct all the existing examinations as they are. To make arrangements to operate the examination centers by maintaining the prescribed physical distance by taking full precaution for infection control.

4) To conduct daily administrative work in coordination with the local bodies keeping in view the information issued by them.

5) To make the hospitals and health-related bodies under the Institute of Medical Studies and the Institute of Agricultural and Animal Sciences do as per the decision, direction, and information of the Government of Nepal.

6) To provide safe water and sanitizer in all the bodies/offices under the University and to take necessary precautionary measures to create a safe working environment.

7) To make necessary arrangements in the dormitories of the campus accordingly as the local bodies including Kathmandu Valley have issued notice not to gather more than 25 people in connection with Kovid-19 infection.

8) If there is a situation where classes can be taken in physical presence by coordinating with the local body, to do so accordingly, and if there is no condition to take a class in physical presence, to conduct classes through an electronic medium (Online). Practical classes, on the other hand, will be conducted with full physical distance for infection control.

9) To give 10 days leave to any teacher or staff in case of corona and to close the related branch for 3 days.
