Tribhuvan University Directs All Teachers and Staff to Follow Election Code of Conduct
Kirtipur, Kathmandu, February 8, 2026 [2082/10/25 BS].
Tribhuvan University, Office of the Registrar, has directed all teachers and staff under the university to fully comply with the Election Code of Conduct, 2082, in view of the upcoming House of Representatives Member Election.
The Election Commission, Nepal has already approved and published the Election Code of Conduct, 2082 to conduct the House of Representatives Member Election scheduled for March 5, 2026 [Falgun 21, 2082 BS] in a clean, free, fair, transparent, and fear-free environment. In this context, the university’s Staff Administration Division issued this notice.
Effective Date and Duration of the Code of Conduct
As per Section 22, Sub-section (1) of the Election Commission Act, 2073, and Clause 1, Sub-clause (2) of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082, the code of conduct has been in effect from 12:00 midnight on January 18, 2026 [Magh 4, 2082 BS]. It will remain in force until further notice.
University Instruction
The university has instructed all teachers and staff not to do, or cause to be done, any act that is contrary to the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
