TU Warns Colleges That Degrees Will Not Receive Equivalence Without Curriculum Approval

Tribhuvan University Curriculum Development Centre has issued a public notice for colleges operating academic programs of foreign universities.

In the notice published on March 23, 2026 (2082-12-09 BS), the Centre has made it clear that degree equivalence will not be granted to academic programs operated without curriculum approval from the Centre.

Notice for Colleges Running Foreign University Programs

According to the notice, it has been understood that some colleges, despite obtaining approval from the Government of Nepal to operate academic programs of various foreign universities, have been conducting classes without obtaining curriculum approval from the Tribhuvan University Curriculum Development Centre.

The Centre has informed that even if such programs have received approval from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal, degree equivalence will not be granted if classes are found to have been conducted without curriculum approval from the Tribhuvan University Curriculum Development Centre.

It has also informed and directed all concerned to renew ongoing programs on time and to operate new programs only after obtaining approval from this Curriculum Development Centre.
