United School Students to Represent Nepal at AI for Good Robotics Challenge 2026 in Geneva

Lalitpur, July 3, 2026 — Three students from United School, Imadol, Lalitpur, have been selected to represent Nepal at the AI for Good – Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The selected students are Aarav Gautam, Abriya Shrestha, and Nirvana Singh Rayamajhi. They will compete as part of Nepal’s Junior and Senior Teams at the international event, which is scheduled to take place from July 7 to 10, 2026, during the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva.

The students earned their place in Team Nepal after taking part in the national selection process organized through the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Nepal events. The national qualifying events serve as the pathway for Nepali teams to advance to the global Grand Finale.

This is the second consecutive year that students from United School have been selected to represent Nepal at the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge. In 2025, Team Gautam Buddha, Nepal’s Junior Team, which included United School students Aarav Gautam and Paridhi Shrestha, secured second place at the AI for Good – Robotics for Good Youth Challenge in Geneva. Aarav Gautam will return to the competition this year as a two-time national representative.

Before the students’ departure for Geneva, Mr. Nara Hang Rai, Founder Director of United School, congratulated them on their selection and wished them success.

“Congratulations on representing Nepal on an international stage. You are about to enter an exciting and challenging journey, and I hope it brings innovation, teamwork, and confidence as you showcase your talent at the AI for Good – Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2026 in Geneva. Best wishes for your efforts,” Rai said.

The students are continuing their final preparation before the competition, where they will compete with youth teams from different countries. The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge encourages young participants to design, build, and program robots to address real-world challenges through robotics, artificial intelligence, and problem-solving.

United School said the selection reflects the school’s continued focus on practical exposure to robotics, coding, and applied technology through clubs, activities, and mentorship.

The students’ 2025 participation was also featured in a video interview by UAG Studio as part of the “United & Beyond” series, where Aarav Gautam and Paridhi Shrestha discussed their preparation, challenges, and mentorship experience during the Geneva competition.

United School congratulated Aarav, Abriya, and Nirvana on their selection and wished them success as they prepare to represent Nepal in Geneva.
