In 2082, the Suryabhakta–Patnadevi Memorial Literary Award was presented to senior satirist Durga Baral Vatsyayan, a resident of Pokhara.
The award was handed over to senior satirist Vatsyayan by Gaidakot Municipality Mayor Madanbhakta Adhikari, along with a cash prize of NPR 33,333 and a certificate of Honor.
At the Creator Honour and Award Presentation Programme organized by Triveni Sahitya Pratishthan, the Triveni Gorabi Art Award was presented to Chitwan-based painter Lalkaji Lama, along with a certificate of honour and a cash prize of NPR 25,000.
At the same programme, the Triveni Homanath–Bhagwati Art–Literature Award, with a cash prize of NPR 15,000, was presented to senior painter Gopal Shrestha of Pokhara.
The Suryabhakta–Patnadevi Memorial Literary Award was established by Mayor Adhikari, the son of pro-democracy fighter and Nepali Congress leader late Suryabhakta Adhikari and his spouse Patna Devi Adhikari, in their memory, and it has been set up to remain in force until his death.
