Mardikhola Nepal Educational Foundation Distributes Scholarships and Educational Materials Worth 5 Lakhs on its 24th Anniversary
The Mardikhola Nepal Educational Foundation celebrated its 24th anniversary by distributing scholarships and educational materials worth 5 lakhs. The foundation has been working towards providing educational opportunities to underprivileged students in Nepal.
Scholarship Distribution to Needy Students
The foundation distributed scholarships worth Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand to 15 poor and needy students studying in class 11 and 12 of various government schools in Kaski. The scholarship was given at the rate of 12 thousand, which will help the students continue their education without any financial burden.
Distribution of Educational Materials to Schools
Apart from scholarships, the foundation also distributed science and mathematical educational materials worth 320,000 to 7 schools in the region. The educational materials were provided to Mahendra Secondary School Lahachok, Prithvi Narayan Secondary School Dhampus, Nijjar Secondary School Humdi, Barah Secondary School Bhidabari, Machhapuchhre Secondary School Dhikurpokhri, Srijana Community Secondary School Simpali, and Sangam Secondary School Chandrakot.
Appreciation for Contributions to Education
The Chancellor of Gandaki State Pragya Pratishthan, Surya Bahadur Khadka 'Bikharchi', appreciated the efforts of the foundation in providing educational opportunities to the underprivileged. He stated that people who contribute to the field of education will always be respected.
Foundation's Objective and Annual Activities
The foundation's secretary, Dilliram Giri, emphasized that the foundation has been distributing scholarships and educational materials to schools annually as per the advice and suggestions of the society and the school, not for any private interest. The foundation's aim is to provide equal opportunities for quality education to every student in Nepal.
The Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality Chairman, Meen Bahadur Gurung, Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality Education Branch Chief, Mejkan Pokharel, Ward President of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality 5, Narayan Prasad Paudel, Principal Durga Rawat of Nijjar Secondary School, Assistant Headmaster of Mahendra Secondary School, Meenraj Adhikari, Foundation Treasurer Anil Lamichhane, former Foundation Secretary Gopal Giri, and others spoke in the program.
The foundation started working in 2054 and was registered in 2056. Its founder president is Dr. Ram Giri, who initiated the foundation with the objective of providing educational opportunities to underprivileged students in Nepal.
Overall, the Mardikhola Nepal Educational Foundation's efforts to provide educational opportunities to the underprivileged students of Nepal are commendable. The scholarships and educational materials provided by the foundation will help the students in continuing their education without any financial burden, and it is a step towards building a better future for Nepal.
