CTEVT Open Competitive Vacancy Notice (2082/83)

Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Recruitment Committee, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Call for Applications for Open Competition.

As per the consent received from the Public Service Commission, it is required to fill the vacant posts under CTEVT and its offices in the services, groups, subgroups, and classes listed below through open competitive examinations.

Accordingly, this notice is published for the first time, inviting eligible candidates to submit applications within 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication. Applications can be submitted online at https://www.ctevt.org.np or https://jobs.ctevt.org.np within the regular fee deadline of 12:00 midnight, February 24, 2026 [2082-11-12 (BS)], and within an additional 7 (seven) days by paying double fees, up to 12:00 midnight, March 3, 2026 [2082-11-19 (BS)].

Candidates are also informed that, after filling the form in the online system, the examination fee must be paid via Connect IPS or the Khalti App. This advertisement notice has also been posted on the Council’s website: https://www.ctevt.org.np.

Special information regarding advertisement: As per the order of mandamus issued on February 7, 2023 [2079-10-24 (BS)] in the certiorari petition, including Writ No. 078-WO-0660, by the Honorable Supreme Court, recruitment will be carried out accordingly after legal provisions are made.

Note: Technical subject means: the subjects of the Technical and Training Service Group and Subgroup listed in Schedule 2 of the CTEVT Employee Service, Terms and Facilities Regulations, 2069 (with Sixth Amendment).

Age limit: For the open competitive examination, as per Regulation 22 of the CTEVT Employee Service, Terms and Facilities Regulations, 2069 (with Sixth Amendment), the candidate must have completed 21 (twenty-one) years of age for Officer Level Second Class posts; must have completed 21 (twenty-one) years of age and must not have exceeded 35 (thirty-five) years for Officer Level Third Class posts; must have completed 18 (eighteen) years of age and must not have exceeded 35 (thirty-five) years for Assistant Level posts, but in the case of women and candidates with disabilities, must not have exceeded 40 (forty) years. For permanent employees currently serving in the Council, the age limit will not apply.

In the case of advertisements where an experience period is required, the minimum service period specified for the relevant post must have been completed by the last date set for submission of applications at the time of advertisement publication. The double-fee period will not be counted for the purpose of age, academic qualification, training, experience, and service period.

Must not be disqualified as per the provisions.
Applications not submitted within the deadline mentioned in the Recruitment Committee’s notice, or not meeting the minimum qualification, or not disclosing other required details, or not paying the prescribed fee, or not duly completed will not be accepted. If such a form is found to have been accepted, it will be automatically cancelled at any time.
The written examination for open and inclusive categories will be conducted at the same time. Separate examinations will not be required.
The syllabus can be downloaded by logging in to the Council’s website https://www.ctevt.org.np.
Candidates requesting a supporting writer must contact the Council’s Central Office at least 7 (seven) days before the written examination starts.
The description of work to be performed in the post will be as per the Council’s Employee Service, Terms and Facilities Regulations, 2069 (with Sixth Amendment) and as per the relevant service, group, and subgroup.
If working in Nepal Government service, a government-owned institution, or international organizations/institutions, departmental approval must be submitted from the respective agency.
Salary allowance and other facilities: will be as per the Council’s Employee Service, Terms and Facilities Regulations, 2069.
Place of work: Constituent schools and provincial offices of CTEVT within Kathmandu Valley.
Application fee:

Officer Level Second: 2,500/- (Inclusive additional 600/-)

The advertisement number and open/inclusive group selected once by the candidate will not be changed. Selection must be made with certainty at the time of selection.
Ink to be used in the examination: Candidates must use black ink only in the examination.
Nature of examination and syllabus: The marks distribution and nature of competition will be as mentioned in the syllabus.
Special instructions regarding additional documents to be submitted by candidates: Candidates applying for posts under open and inclusive groups must submit documents as mentioned in the notice at the time of application submission. After being selected for interview from the written examination result, while coming to attend the interview, candidates must bring the originals of such documents along with self-attested copies. If the mentioned documents are not with the candidate at the time of application submission, the application may be cancelled at any time.
Special arrangement for submitting applications when the original academic certificate is not available: If examination results have been published by the school/campus/educational institution/university within the application submission deadline for the advertised post, but the original certificate has not yet been issued, the application form may be submitted by providing a letter from the institution stating that the candidate has passed, along with marksheets of all semesters, thesis, practicals, etc. Candidates submitting applications in this manner must upload the original qualification certificates required for the post as soon as they are issued, by the final application submission date. If not, the application will be automatically cancelled.
Additional documents required for candidates applying under inclusive groups:
(a) For Adivasi/Janajati: In the case of castes listed under the Nepal Adivasi/Janajati Upliftment National Foundation Act, based on the same list; however, if there are more than one surname within the caste listed under the Act, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, stating that the surname falls within the listed caste.
(b) For Madheshi: A document certifying Madheshi issued by the institution designated by the Government of Nepal through a notice published in the Nepal Gazette; however, until such institution is designated through a Nepal Gazette notice, a document certified as Madheshi by the Chief District Officer on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level.
(c) For Dalit: In the case of castes listed by the National Dalit Commission, based on the same list; and if there are more than one surname within the caste listed by the National Dalit Commission, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, stating that the surname falls within the listed caste.
(d) For Persons with Disabilities: A disability identity card issued by the Social Welfare Council, or a disability identity card issued by the concerned local level mentioning the classification of disability as per Sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2017 (BS).
After passing all stages of the examination, recommendations will be made for appointment to vacant posts in accordance with the order of merit based on the candidate’s ranking.
Vacant matters not mentioned in this notice will be governed by the CTEVT Employee Service, Terms and Facilities Regulations, 2069 (with Sixth Amendment) and other prevailing laws.
As per the above, the examination center for all posts will be in Kathmandu Valley. The written examination for all posts will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. The written examination schedule will be as determined by the Public Service Commission from time to time.
Academic qualifications, inclusive certificates, training, experience, and service period obtained after the last date for application submission (regular fee deadline) will not be valid. Candidates who studied in institutions abroad must mandatorily include an equivalence determination letter of the qualification obtained from the relevant authority.
