Fastenopfer Job Vacancy for Agro-Ecology Coordinator:

Fastenopfer is the aid organization for Catholics in Switzerland. To this end, Fastenopfer works with partner organizations in 14 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and organizations in Switzerland.

1. Agro-Ecology Coordinator - 1 (One)

Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent travels to project sites in remote rural areas (at least 60% of the time)

Contract: Part-time; 60% engagement (180 days/calendar year); renewable on annual basis - to be confirmed after one or two field visits; at least 110 days of field visits; conditions negotiable; contract renewal annually at least up to the end 2022.

Qualifications: Bachelors in agriculture, natural resources; environment or life sciences, ecology, forestry-related disciplines with reasonable hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and/or organic farming; prepared to travel and stay in remote parts of Kamali for extended periods; skills and commitment are basic prerequisites; excellent English and Nepali and basic IT skills; Janjati and Dalit candidates are given priority. Responsibilities: Supporting partners in capacity building and offering solutions to agroecological problems; knowledge and network management with the Coordination Team; project cycle management; communication and reporting; Full job description can be obtained from the address below.
