HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal Vacancy

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Helvetas Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.

Safer Migration Project (SaMi) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Nepal. The project is implemented by Helvetas Nepal and Ministry of Labour Employment and Social Security (MoLESS) with the purpose to contribute to safer migration. SaMi/Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. Position: Information and Knowledge Management Officer — 1

position (For women candidate only)

Job Purpose: Overall responsibility of the position holder is to lead the project information and knowledge management system. Ensure effective and regular communication on the SaMi project and build the capacities of stakeholders on communication, information and knowledge management.

Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Master's degree in Communication and Journalism, Social Science or in any other relevant field. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of communication and/or knowledge management. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.

Duty Station: Project Support Unit (PSU), Lalitpur

2. Position: Monitoring Officer —1 position

(For women candidate only)

Job Purpose: Responsible to strengthen effective monitoring and information system in the project and building capacity of partners and stakeholders in monitoring and reporting.

Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Master's degree in Management, Economics or Social Science or in relevant field. Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of project monitoring and evaluation; experience in web-based information and data management system; database software especially in SQL and statistical software like SPSS etc. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Duty Station: Project Support Unit (PSU), Lalitpur with 50% field visit

3. Position: Programme Officer — 3 positions

Job Purpose: Responsible for the quality assurance of project activities in respective rural/urban municipalities as required by the project document. Also, responsible for capacity building of concerned local governments and service providers and maintain excellent coordination between, and communication among all concerned stakeholders for effective execution of the project activities.

Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Bachelor's degree in Social Science or in relevant field. Minimum 3 years of work experience in project/program implementation in the field of migration/foreign employment. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Duty Station: State 3 (Chitwan), State 1 (1Iam and Khotang) and could be in any other SaMi working area

4. Position: Monitoring Officer-Skills —1 position

Job Purpose: This position is responsible to carry out monitoring of the skills training activities (pre-training, during training and post training) for quality assurance of skills training conducted by SaMi's (partners) skills training institutions in the respective state and other states if required.

Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Bachelor's degree in Social a Science or Management or in a relevant field. Minimum 3 years of substantial work experience in a skill programme monitoring at an institutional level or at any project level. Experience on migration and foreign employment sector will be an added value. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Duty Station: State 2 (State Headquarter)

5. Position: Finance and Administrative Officer — 2 positions

(For women candidate only)

Job Purpose: Ensure effective financial and administrative management of the project in the respective state as per Helvetas Nepal policy manuals. Support and monitor local level Partners in financial management. This position shall have a functional relationship with the Finance and Administrative Manager at Project Support Unit (PSU).

Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent with finance/accounting is preferred. Minimum 3 years of work experience with finance and accounting responsibility in a similar position preferably in I/NGO. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Duty Station: State 1 and 2 (State Headquarters)

Duration: Till the 15th of September 2020 with the possibility of extension.
