National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NFDN) Notice

National Federation of the Deaf Nepal - NDFN, is a national level organization for hearing impaired people in Nepal. The organization is currently inviting applications from eligible Nepali citizens for a three-year term to work on the issue of hearing-impaired and other complex types of disabilities in Bharatpur and Kalika municipalities of Chitwan district.

It is advised to submit the application along with the educational qualification, experience, copies of the Nepali Citizenship Certificate, and updated personal details by emailing at [email protected] or the correspondence address of the organization 11338, Kathmandu by 5 pm on 6th Magh, 2078. No action will be taken on expired and undeveloped applications.

1) Post: Project Coordinator

Required Number: 1 (One)

Minimum Educational Qualification: 

Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduated from a recognized educational institution or equivalent

Eligibility Criteria:

At least 2 years of project experience, good knowledge of national and international disability policy rules and regulations, disability act, policy, CRPD, sustainable development goals, etc. Fluent in both written and oral English. Willing to learn about sign language, Braille and other alternative means of communication and to act accordingly.

2) Community Based Rehabilitation and Deafblind Educator

Required Number: 4 (four)

Minimum educational qualification:

Passed proficiency certificate or equivalent from a recognized educational institution

Eligibility Criteria:

Knowledgeable about disability and 1-year work on community-based rehabilitation, knowledge on personal educational planning, integration into the community and service in community or center for the visually impaired, learning about sign language, Braille, and other alternative means of communication. And willing to act accordingly.

Special priority will be given to those who have worked in the field of disability. National Federation of the Deaf Nepal attaches special importance to inclusion. It, therefore, encourages qualified persons with disabilities and their guardians, women, Madhesis, Muslims, Dalits, and people from backward and marginalized communities to propose.

The National Federation of the Deaf Nepal places a high priority on the safety of children in its area of ​​work and those at risk, as well as employees and stakeholders affiliated with the organization.
