Nepal Army Officer Vacancies in Administrative, Technical, Aviation and Miscellaneous Services

The Nepal Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, Jangi Adda, has invited applications to fill vacant officer posts in the Administrative, Technical, Aviation and Miscellaneous Services through open competition.

Eligible Nepali citizens who meet the prescribed qualifications are required to fill in the online application form available on the official Nepal Army website www.nepalarmy.mil.np. After completing the online form, applicants must print the form and personally submit it at the designated recruitment centre with a revenue stamp of Rs. 10 affixed to the application form.

Candidates must be declared fit through BMI and health examination, must not have been punished by a court for any criminal offence involving moral turpitude, must not be a current member of any political party, must not be involved in or have been involved in any criminal activity, must not be a member of or have been a member of any organisation with destructive objectives, must not have been punished for espionage against Nepal, must not have been punished for violation of human rights and humanitarian law, and must not have been dismissed from service in a way that makes them ineligible for future government service. Age Limit

By the last date for submitting the application (2082/08/27), the age of candidates must be as follows.

Post: Serving personnel of the Military Service

• As per the age limit for other persons mentioned in the regulations of the concerned service, candidates must have obtained the educational qualification required for the concerned post, completed basic military training, and obtained a recommendation from the unit chief.

Additional Provisions for Serving Nepal Army Personnel

• Serving military personnel of the Nepal Army who meet the required qualifications for the mentioned posts may submit applications under the same advertisement up to a maximum of three times in the ongoing recruitment process.

• By the last date for submitting the application (2082/08/27), the minimum service period must be at least one year.

Documents Required to Be Submitted

Candidates must self-certify one copy of each of the following documents and submit them in a Nepali file. Certificates with overwriting or erasures will not be accepted. All original documents must be carried by the candidate when submitting the application.

• Nepali citizenship certificate.

• Mark sheets, character certificates, and original/provisional certificates of all academic levels.

• Equivalence certificate issued by the Curriculum Development Centre or Tribhuvan University for those who obtained their qualification from boards or universities outside Nepal.

• For children of Nepali Army personnel who became physically disabled due to injuries sustained during military training or while on duty, or for children of those who died in the line of duty, the following additional documents must be self-certified and submitted:

  • Certified copy showing the concerned candidate’s name included in the assistance list published by the Ceremonial Operations Directorate, or a certified copy of the pension document mentioning death in the line of duty/physical disability.

  • For serving personnel: One certified copy of the Medical Board recommendation issued under Rule 101 of the Military Service Regulation, 2069.

  • One certified copy of the document proving the candidate’s relationship with the concerned personnel.

Photographs

Candidates must submit recent, identical photographs clearly showing the full face, including both ears.

• Four passport-size photographs.

• One 2x2 size photograph.

Selection Process

The selection process includes wearing examination, BMI and preliminary health check, physical examination, written examination (conducted by the Public Service Commission), practical examination, merit evaluation, detailed health examination, and interview.
Candidates who fail in any one stage will not be allowed to proceed to the next stage.

Salary, Allowances, Ration and Other Facilities

These will be as per the prevailing rules and arrangements of the Nepal Army.

Additional Conditions

• Government or semi-government employees must mention their current employment status in the application form and submit the departmental approval letter along with the application. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the application and all examinations.

• Candidates are responsible for their personal safety during the selection process. Any accidents occurring during the examination period will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.

• Candidates must carry their admit card, one 2x2 size photo, and their original citizenship certificate to each examination.

• Candidates competing under the inclusive category may compete in only one group among Indigenous/Janajati, Madhesi, or Dalit. This restriction does not apply to women. Candidates from backward areas (male/female) may also submit applications and compete under the backward area quota.

• Candidates must declare if they have applied for any other posts in the ongoing Nepal Army recruitment process. They must mention the post and advertisement number of any such application.

• Candidates are fully responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted. If any detail is found to be false, action will be taken according to prevailing laws.

Information on Filling the Online Application Form

• Visit the official Nepal Army portal at http://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np and click “Apply Online.”

• Fill in the online application form using Nepali Unicode as required and upload the candidate’s photo, citizenship certificate, academic certificates, and scanned/digital copy of the revenue voucher. Required entries include:

• Candidates will be allowed to proceed only after entering and validating minimum required qualifications such as age, academic qualification, and citizenship.

• The printed application form must have the candidate’s photo and postage stamp affixed, and must be submitted with the applicant’s signature at the designated recruitment centre within the specified deadline.

• If a candidate submits the form online but does not submit the printed form to the recruitment centre, the online submission alone will not be accepted.

In accordance with the mandamus order issued on 2079/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court regarding the writ petition 078-WO-0382, in which the Nepal Army Recruitment Selection Directorate, Jangi Adda, Kathmandu is a respondent, this notice has been published to proceed with the current recruitment as per prevailing laws.

Provisions will be made later, as required by law, to compensate for the posts that were not included under the inclusive category in fiscal year 079/80 and were consequently lost, based on the proportion of posts falling under the inclusive category after legal arrangements are completed.
