Kathmandu: Nepal Police Headquarters under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, through the Human Resource Development Department, Career Development Directorate, and Recruitment Selection Branch, Naxal, has significantly increased the vacancy number for the post of Prahari Jawan under the Janapad Police Group.
According to the advertisement published on 2082/06/10 (BS), the post was to be filled through open competition under the inclusive provision. After the advertisement was published, additional posts became vacant, and the revised vacancy number has now been made public.
The office issued a “Notice Regarding Additional Vacancy Numbers” on 2082/12/20 (BS) and published the updated details for the information of all concerned.
According to the notice, recruitment had initially been opened for 1,553 posts. After 1,375 additional posts became vacant following the advertisement, the recruitment process will now move forward for a total of 2,928 posts.

Special Notice Details
The office has also issued a special notice regarding the fulfillment of posts under the inclusive groups.
It stated that, in accordance with the mandamus order issued on 2079/10/24 (BS) by the Honorable Supreme Court in the writ petitions, including Writ No. 078-WO-0662, in which Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu, among others, was the respondent, the present notice has been published to proceed with recruitment under the prevailing law for the time being.
The notice further states that, after the necessary legal arrangements concerning the inclusive groups are put in place, action will be taken in accordance with the law regarding compensation for the actual loss caused by posts that were not included in the inclusive groups in FY 2079/80, based on the ratio of posts falling under the inclusive groups out of the total posts that will be maintained, including the fulfillment of the resulting loss.
