NRB Seeks Coordinator for Troubled Finance Firm

Nepal Rastra Bank, through the Secretariat of the Selection Committee under the Financial Institution Supervision Department, Central Office, Baluwatar, has published a notice calling for applications. The bank has invited applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the post of Coordinator in a two-member management group to manage and operate the troubled Nepal Share Markets and Finance Limited, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
According to the notice, 1 person will be appointed to the Coordinator position. For this post, applicants must have obtained a postgraduate degree in Management, Banking, Financial, Monetary, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Law.
In addition, the minimum qualification and experience required are that the applicant must be a banking expert with at least 10 years of experience in the banking sector. The applicant must have completed 35 years of age and must not have exceeded 65 years as of the final date for submission of the application, April 22, 2026, Wednesday (2083-01-09 BS).
The service period of the selected Coordinator will be 1 year. Based on necessity and work progress, the service period may be renewed up to two times for 6 months each.
The designated workplace will be Nepal Share Markets and Finance Limited, Putalisadak, Kathmandu. In terms of remuneration, a monthly salary of Rs. 126,300, inclusive of applicable tax, will be provided. An amount equal to one month’s salary will be provided as Dashain expense. No other allowance of any kind will be provided apart from that. In addition, up to 12 days of casual leave per year will be available.
Interested candidates must submit the application form to the Secretariat of the Selection Committee within office hours on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (2083-01-09 BS). If the last date for submission falls on a public holiday, the application may be submitted within office hours on the next day the office reopens. No action will be taken on applications that are not submitted within the deadline or that do not meet the required format.
At the time of submission, applicants must attach documents relating to their academic qualifications, citizenship certificate, and, where age is not disclosed in the citizenship certificate, an additional certificate showing the age, along with experience documents and other documents specified by the Selection Committee.
The examination process will consist of a work plan, presentation of that work plan, and an interview. The notice states that the list of approved applicants, the schedule for the work plan presentation, and the list and schedule of candidates selected for interview will be published on the bank’s website.
